Partnering Event on January 22, 2013 in Vienna

Thanks to the support of all participants, the first CORNET Partnering Event this year was a great success!
Having taken place in Vienna at the premises of Austrian Research Promotion Agency FFG (Österreichische Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft, www.ffg.at) on 22nd of January 2013, the event was organised in close collaboration with the partner programme EraSME. Emphasis was on facilitating partner search for the upcoming calls for proposals with
deadlines
28th of March 2013 and 27th of September 2013.

In an elevator pitch session participants presented CORNET or EraSME project ideas to find partners with the right know-how or presented their organisation and technical expertise to find matching project partners. Public presentations are available on EraSME.
Additional requests for project partners can be found here.

For the first time, participants had the opportunity to arrange individual bilateral meetings prior to the meeting via an online registration tool. An overview of the event is still accessible: http://www.b2match.eu/cornet-erasme/.

Target group of such events are SMEs, SME associations and research organisations interested in conducting a CORNET project. The schedule foresees Elevator Pitch sessions allowing the participants to present their project ideas or organisation profiles in 5 minutes presentations. The sessions are organised according to technological fields. CORNET and EraSME representatives inform participants about the programmes, and give room for individual discussion of new project ideas.
Participation is free of charge.

CORNET Monitoring Meeting on January 23, 2013 in Vienna

The day after the Partnering Event, a public CORNET Monitoring Meeting was organised at C3 - Centrum für Internationale Enwicklung near FFG in Vienna (see above). Project coordinators reported about progress and results of their collective research projects. In addition to the 'hard facts', coordinators gave insight into their experiences and lessons learnt related to the funding scheme CORNET. The presentations provided an impression of the broad variety of topics covered by CORNET.
